Brian Palmer is a photojournalist, filmmaker, and inveterate New Yorker currently based in Richmond, Virginia. His first documentary, Full Disclosure, grew out of three "embeds" with a U.S. Marine unit in Iraq. Prior to getting back behind the camera, he was an on-air correspondent for CNN. He is a graduate of Brown University and holds an M.F.A. in photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Ply him with strong coffee (medium roast, please) and he'll be putty in your hands. Erin Hollaway Palmer is an editor of the written word and thus solely responsible for any typos. Before moving from Brooklyn to Virginia in 2013 to focus on research for Make the Ground Talk, she was managing editor of Parade magazine and, before that, of National Geographic Adventure. She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in French and still speaks that language with some proficiency, along with Spanish. If she's not at her desk, she's probably at East End Cemetery with Teacake.
